A beautiful hot sunny day at HQ for this warm-up match did little to enliven the game. The forwards and the defences dominated exchanges with England lacking the cut-through of a Jerry Guscott or Will Greenwood. Going into the World Cup with one world class try scoring back in Jason Robinson does not bode well. Rob Andrew is likely to try to tie games up with possession and try to tire the opposition out but in Samoa, Tonga and South Africa we have some tough and strong opponents. Even Mrk Regan might struggle to lay them all out..
Still, me and my son sat in the sunshine, eat, drank and cheered and were then let down by sloppy defending to allow Sebastian 'Seabass' Chabal to score. At least he plays for Sale Sharks (sponsored by Seatwave) I suppose..
