This blog entry could have been renamed "behind enemy lines" as I ventured as an undercover Spur into Arsenal Territory for the biggest game of the year so far...
I was lucky enough to get the free use of some Premo Arsenal Season tickets (props to JC for the loan!) so snapped up the chance to make my first trip to the Emirates Stadium.
Myself and Caroline went along and had the pleasure of a 20 minute trip to the Stadium. In case you havent been yet - the Stadium is just five minutes walk from Holloway road and you can get them from Camden or Angel in no time, makes a nice change from a one hour journey up the Seven Sisters road to the Lane.
I have to tip my hat off (for once and once only) - they have done an Amazing job on this place. It really is all that!! - looks good - ammenities are great - they have really done an awesome job on the "Emirates bowl" as I swear I heard the commentator say..
There's no need to really talk about the game, we didnt show up for this one and also had the misfortune of receiving some decisions from Graham Poll in our favour in the last game he officiated for us, which of course meant that he was going to screw us this time around....
Two penalties that shouldnt have been killed us but I cant say we deserved anything from that game....... oh well - lets see what happens when they come to our place!!
oh one more thing of course - the food and the beer! - Cheeseburger and Fries at Half time was a winner! - we both enjoyed those and they were also selling Beer at the final whistle..
A trip to the Emirates is recommended to all - home and away fans... make sure u pop along..
