It's not every day you get the chance to see some true god's of rock perform, so when Tool came to town, we seized the opportunity to see them!
It was literally only a week previous to the announcement of their latest album, 10,000 nights that I wagered my left nut to a room full of my mates that Tool had broken up and would never make another album. I'm happy to say I lost the bet, and if it wasn't for Seatwave I may have even given my right nut to see them live. But that's a different story...
Anyway, we got to a packed Wembley Arena right on time. Maynard came out sporting an orange fluro/day-glow sweater with matching Camden Town style Mohawk, while the rest of the boys were just sporting the usual hard rock garb.
In classic Tool style they kicked off with a couple of their oldies; Stinkfist from Aenima and Swamp Song off Undertow. Next they drifted into basically the entirety of their latest album which were accompanied by the video clips of each song as well as an amazing laser show.
They finished up with Aenima, which is of course the title track off their album with the same name. As they were leaving the stage they promised the cheering fans that they would be back in the summer, so keep an eye out and if you can, go and see them!
